Final Project Review

I followed pretty much everything on my storyboard besides the amount of points and one of the sprites.  Instead of having a trampoline catch the balls I had a dog catching them instead.  Instead pf gaining one point for touching a ball I changed it to two.  A couple things I had trouble with was changing the level two difficulty and having the balls stop when goal is reached.  To make level two more difficult I wanted to balls to speed up but I couldn't get it to work.  Another thing  I couldn't get to work is the dog sprite only says you win sometimes when it's supposed to say it every time you reach the maximum points.  My backdrop did work but I wish I could've gotten a backdrop that said level two on it.  What I'm most proud about my game is how I got the dog to move anywhere on the screen by pressing the up, down, left, and right arrows on the keyboard.  What I'm disappointed with is I wanted to point a timer in but it wouldn't work with my script.  I thought of making this game by first thinking about catching balls in a basket but then I thought I could use a sprite that would make sense to catch things and could move around the entire screen/backdrop.

Final Project Review on other projects

Jake (Pong Game):  I liked how he had the option of multiplayer or single player and clearly showed the scoring for both.  His timer also worked very well and had many levels.

Willow (Grand Theft Spongebob):  I like the Squidward backdrops and how it looks like animation.  I also like how you have Spongebob shooting things at Plankton.

Alyssa (Geometry Shapes):  I like all the colors and the fact that you have to press so many letter keys.

Abby (Maze Game):  I liked how she made the levels more challenging as we went on and the instructions were very easy to follow.

Jon (Cat and ball Game):  I liked how the cat had to get the ball and it was pretty straight forward.

Scratch Game Storyboard

Ball Catching Game

-My goal is to have balls drop from the top of the screen and you have to move the trampoline around with the keyboard arrows to catch them.

-The sprites I'm going to use are a trampoline and balls.

-I''ll use a park background or a plain background.

-When a ball hits the trampoline you will get one point.  For the first level you'll have a minute to catch 20 balls.  If you win you'll go on to the next level and will have to catch 15 in thirty seconds.  If you catch the red ball in the second level you'll lose two points.

-When someone wins a sprite will appear and say nice job you win!  If you lose the game with start over when green flag is clicked.

-I will have two to three levels.  I will increase difficulty by changing the timer and adding variables.
